With the sun beginning to stick around a bit longer in our cloudy homeport of Seattle, WA, Aladdin is gearing up to take on one of the largest bike commuter events on the west coast: the 2009 Cascade Bicycle Club Group Health Commuter Challenge!

This annual event occurs each May, which happens to be National Bike Month. (We’re guessing this is not a coincidence.) Businesses are invited to put together teams of 5-10 cyclists and track their cumulative mileage throughout the month, with a promise of each team member biking to work at least 5 times during the challenge. This year we are the proud backer of 15 riders on two teams, one from the north of our home base and one from the south.

Sustainability is not just a feature of the mugs we make at Aladdin – it is a principle our company operates under and a lifestyle we encourage our employees to embrace. We are proud of our commuters who choose to get to work in a sustainable and healthy way, like biking, and we are excited to cheer them on as a company in May. Go cyclists, go!
